Celebrating the spirit of Community theatre

21st February 2027
The Scottish Theatre Awards proudly launch in 2026 to shine a national spotlight on the extraordinary talent, passion, and dedication found in Scotland’s youth and amateur theatre communities. From village halls to city stages, these groups are the beating heart of Scotland’s performing arts - nurturing creativity, building confidence, and bringing communities together through storytelling.

This annual celebration will honour the performers, volunteers, directors, writers, technicians, and community champions who keep theatre thriving across the country. The awards aim to recognise not only outstanding productions and performances, but also the spirit of collaboration, inclusivity, and imagination that defines grassroots theatre in Scotland.

The Scottish Theatre Awards invite communities across the nation to celebrate the future of Scottish theatre - because today’s youth and amateur stages are where tomorrow’s stars begin.
